How can i get to the new bangalore airport ?

Hi .. i'm coming from mangalore to bangalore by bus .. and i have a flight to catch like at 6 in the morning . i'll reach bangalore by 4am . any ideas how i can get to the new bangalore airport from majestic bust stand ?

catch a bus or taxi as soon as you reach Bangalore bus stand. the journey at that time of the day will take between 45mins to 60 mins. And you also need to reach an hour early for your departure.

BUS: (from Bangalore Majestic Bus Stand)

take only a volvo since it would make you reach faster. These are red colored buses and can be identified easily and they operate 24hours. But you might have to wait for 15mins to 30 mins depending upon what time of the hour you reach the bus stand.

If you reach bangalore before 4am you can take the bus, but if you reach bus stand after 4am and the volvo is still going to take about 20 mins to leave, I'd recommend a taxi which would take between 500 - 750 bucks. but atleast it can take you there in 35 mins flat.

for taxi, I'd recommend you to book it in advance ( you can call them from the bus about 45 mins before arrival to bus stand and it should suffice). For numbers call Just dial (080 23333333) and get a list of 24x7 taxi phone numbers and you can call them from the comfort of sitting in the bus while travelling to bangalore.)

That's a tight timing considering that intercity busses are always late and that you have to be at the airport well before your flight departure time. Two ways to get to the airport for you:

If you can relax your schedule, like take an earlier bus into Bangalore, use one of BMTCs new Volvo shuttle busses. They are fast and quite reliable. Find the schedule under

- you can buy tickets on the bus, no need to pre-book. Find your pick up point in the list and see what times they leave. Grant that bus to be 15min late, the journey would take around 45-60min at that time of day. Fare is somewhere between 100-150RS.

Otherwise get a taxi, the only advantage being that is leaves the moment you jump in. The fare would be 400-600 RS.
