How can i get volume back into my hair?

i have thick, naturally curly hair, and i hate it, so i use ghds to straighten it every day.

i love my hair straight, but it makes it awfully thin. is there a way to bring some more volume to it, while still using ghds?

I hear people say that they straight to get their hair tobe thinner so I believe... but what I would suggest is to not straight some of the underneath hair as firmly straight to give you more volume... ya know not press the hair with the iron as hard/firm on some sections... I hope this helps:-))).
