How can i go about finding someone to look after kids when go into labour?

I have no family on the island and and new to the area with 3 children aged 3yrs, 2years and 1 year with baby on the way

Where's the kids' dad?  I think you need to start making friends, or at least contacts, with real people on the island - wherever that is!  Good Luck with it all!

Call a babysitting or nanny agency.  We just moved to a new area where we have no family and that's what I did, I found a wonderful sitter.  The advantage of going with an agency is that they're pre-screened and background checked and the agency can provide references to make you feel better about leaving your children with them.
