your plane ticket will be the most expensive but once you find a cheap flight look to stay at a youth hostel.  Go to hostels.com and see what they have. This is not the way my husband and I went about it but we stayed 9 days in Paris for $1500 dollars thats plane tickets and all. We stayed in a 2 star hotel in Montmartre and it was a decent place to sleep and thats all we needed in Paris I mean your not going to spend that much time in your room anyway. The hotel is called Hotel Migny if you every find yourself looking for cheap but safe in Paris.

A lot of the times if you take just one class with distance studies, the money you pay for the class is included with the price of the trip. Also, try to find programs that can link you with families in other countries. Foreign exchange programs are very helpful. You just have to be sure that whatever source you go with is a valid one.
