  1. You need a schengen visa. Make an appointment with the Belgian embassy in Dubai.

  2. you will need a visa, are you staying with this friend?trains, and trams are great transportation in Belgium and you being an Architect you will love the buildings all around Gothic style and so much character you will love it Brussels,Gent,Brugge,Antwerp.you will have a ball most places are when you are in the centre all is around you a week is not long so make the most of it,you will also find that the Belgians cater for all who visit food, cultures, so enjoy your self and have a great time.

  3. I presume you hold an Egyptian passport, in which case you'll need to apply for a visa toBelgium.

If your trip is less than 90 days and for touristic purposes then it is a relatively straightforward process.  Who you know in Belgium is irrelevant, but you will need an address of where you'll be staying, in which case you could provide your friend's address, if you have no hotel booked yet.

To apply for your visa, you must contact the relevant Belgian embassy or consulate in person.  Usually an appointment is necessary - and these can take several weeks to obtain.

You can apply through the Belgian embassy in the UAE, address here:
