If you really can not send/receive e-mail on Yahoo, there must either be a problem on your computer/procedure or your internet provider.  I have been in Guatemala for five years and have never had problems with my Yahoo mail from any computer properly connected to the internet.

you can access messenger in Guatemala.  They have internet cafes that access everything.

Go to an internet cafe

They are everywhere and really really cheap

I don'r really understand you're problem... I live in Guatemala and I check my yahoo email and messenger without problem...     Maybe the problem is your computer, because being in Guatemala has nothing to do with that...
