  1. There's a vegetarian substitute for any meat product!

Check out brands like Boca or Qorn

they make burgers, chicken patties and nuggets, ribs, ground beef, and there's always Smart Dogs!

  2. well my best friend is a vegitarian and she gets sick at the smell of meat. so i would eat inside and she can just eat inside so she don't smell it cooking. and make some salad or veggie burgers. you can buy like chicken thats veggie chicken and its not really meat. go look that up.

  3. grill them up some vegetables, a mix of peppers, onions, squash, and garlic with a little bit of olive oil is always good. You could grill some nectarines for dessert depending on how strict vegetarians they are.

  4. I don't think  vegetarians would taste very good, barbecued or not.

EDIT: What's wrong, no sense of humor?

  5. There are several good brands of veggie burgers that you could grill carefully.  You can make kabobs with assorted veggies. I use onions, green and red peppers, mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. Have great side dishes, like rice, vegetarian baked beans (available in the stores), fruit and green salad

  6. unless you have a meat-free rack i wouldnt grill veggieburgers/veggiedogs but if your willing to go buy one then that would be a good idea.

You could also try a meat-free chilli (they sell them in cans at some stores if you dont have time to cook), fruit salads, couscous, mac and cheese, pizza, meatless lasagne, gaspacho, cheese and slasa quesadillas, 3 (or more) bean salad,  and although its untraditional, i LOVE  good stir-fry, vegetable soups are an easy one, corn on the cob

    i hope this helps :)

  7. If you go to your local grocery store they have veggie burgers and veggie dogs.  That would be a good idea.  Just ask your family members what they prefer.  I'm sure they'll be glad to know that your also catering to their tastes and not just the majority.  :)  I don't know about everywhere but at most of the grocery stores I go to, the veggie section is usually near the produce and also the forzen stuff is near the breakfast stuff.  You kind of have to look around.  Names to look for are Bocca(I have no idea if it's spelled right) and MorningStar Farms.

Good-luck, and wow your considerate.  They should feel lucky to have someone like you :)

  9. My husband eats meat and I don't, we barbecue every summer! We have two grills, one for meat, one for veggies. I love garden burgers or grilled veggies (bell peppers, onions, mushrooms) on a kabob! Fruit salad, potato salad, tossed salad, it's a barbecue! Just make sure to have a grill that's meat free, you can buy a small one pretty cheap!

  10. Cut up zucchini, squash, bell peppers, onions and throw some green beans in there and marinade for a few hours.  Grill in grill basket.

  11. You an grill eggplants, zucchini, red peppers, mushrooms, potatoes, pita/bread/tortillas/, even fruits etc. Seasoned, drizzle in olive oil, marinated etc etc.  Then you can serve it as is with the breads or as a salad with some grains like rice or quinoa, couscous etc etc. The only limit is your imagination/

Just make sure though, that if you are grilling side by side with meats, the two groups don't touch on the fill. Also when serving. And make sure you don't mix bowls like marinade used in meat then you use on veggies or marinating them together, you get the picture.

  12. my girlfriend is a vegetarian, I think she stays with me because I put her on to vegan barbecue.  Morning star makes some great steak strips (vegetarian meat), and some great chicken strips.  Grab those some onion, green bell peppers, mushrooms, and a red onion.  Make skewers with them.

  13. Make some vegetable kabobs and grill some corn. Or if your making burgers than buy some fake meat patties or garden burgers.

  14. My favorite things to BBQ are:

    Portabello Mushroom Cap Burgers

+They're just as big as a burger.  Just splash with a little soy sauce and garlic powder.  Grill for about 5 minutes per side

    Veggie Shish Kabobs

+ Green peppers, mushrooms, red peppers, red onions, cherry tomatoes.....anything.  Here's the marinade I use:

    Webber Kabob Marinade

    Combine and mix:

    1 cup soy sauce

1/2 cup wine or cider vinegar

    1/2 cup pineapple juice

    1/2 cup packed brown sugar

    2 tsp salt

    1/2 tsp garlic powder

+The last thing I love on the grill is potatoes, green beans, baby carrots and red onion BBQ'd in tinfoil.  I put them all in tinfoil, add a little veggie broth, then cover with another layer of tinfoil.  Grill for about 30-40 minutes, depending on how think you slice your potatoes.

    Good luck and have fun!!!!

  15. Make kabobs with veggies. Use mushrooms, pieces of different color peppers, onions. You can also make portabelo mushroom burgers. Portabelo mushrooms can be the size of a burger or bigger so you grill it just like a burger and put it on the bun with the lettuce, tomato, mayo and what ever.

  16. you can grill some veggie burgers spiced up with chili powder, some veggie hot dogs.... you can make potato salad, pasta salad made with whole wheat pasta... ( make the potato salad with sweet potatoes...) just go into the vegetarian section of your store.

  17. Grill whole portobello mushrooms (brush with olive oil, sprinkle with oregano & garlic salt).  Serve them on the same buns, with lettuce, tomato, onion & sliced avocado......
