Hi there peeps, I feel that I need to help my children alot more with their school work and give them more encouragement with regards to getting on better at school as far as learning is concerned. My question is - is what sort of things should I be doing and at what sort of times of the day should I be doing these things. I have 8 children and 7 of them are at school. Im not so worried about my three teenage girls as they get on with their work and are really doing well at school and they just crack on with their homework. My concern is with my 11 year old boy, twins (boy and girl) who are 6, and my four year old boy who is the last child in the family. They are all doing well at school but i feel that i could be doing more with them tho give them more of a headstart. They have the ability to be even better and i really want to give them that start. But what do parents do with their kids as far as work is concerned. How long do i sit with them & what do i do with them. helpme

  1. You should spend an hour with each of them. Eat dinner together, and talk with the kids over how school is going, and look over their homework.

  2. sit down with them for an hour a day and ask what they are learning about in school. tell them to take out their books and read it to them. have them do examples and extra credit pages. i know it must be hard having 8 kids and finding the time to do things. just let them know you're there.
