  1. Martial arts class

  2. talk to her therapist and pediatrician about options.

  3. Why does it have to be natural?

Most of the people I go to school with, we all take medication. If she was epileptic or diabetic you would not be looking for natural ways. Why look for natural ways with autism.

If she is aggressive she might need medication.

You can also try weighted blankets, vests and lap pads. You can try compression vests, shorts, shirts etc. I use a weighted blanket and a compression vest and they help me. I am 13 with ASD.

I go to school with a guy my age who they put in martial arts and all he did was use the moves he learned on other people. They had to take him out of the class. Now he takes medication and I guess he is better. He seems fine to me.

  4. good suggestions so far-

as starnge as it sounds-martial arts has been shown to help kids with impulse difficulties-

ABA can provide a positive support behavior plan-where she is rewarded for good behavior instead of punished for bad behavior

1st you needed to be identify the function of teh behavior-is she uncomfortable or trying to escape work, etc.....

also-talk to an OT (occupational therapist) experienced with sensory integration issues-sometimes that is teh cause of teh behavior

  5. Check whether she has allergic reactions to milk and gluten. Search about CFGF (casein free gluten free) diet for autism disorder. There is also ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) therapy, learn more from talkaboutcuringautism.org.

  6. You need to establish the cause of the aggression.  This will require keeping a diary and detailed, structured observation.

Aggression is often caused by the distortions of sensory perception, which the child may experience.
