Are you talking about the Irish game played against a wall for which I have won medals or that team game which hijacked our name?

We dont call it a roller,we say killing it ,in otherwords its an unplayable ball.

It is preferable to have a good legs apart stance,sideways on and a good long smooth swing,after a while it becomes easy.Gerry Ward a bloke from back home won all Ireland medals playing for Athenry,we played up against the old(800years)abbey ,the front wall was so rough you never knew where the ball was going,that made our reactions lightening fast.Gerry could kill the ball all day long but when he was in a competition he couldnt do it ,the nerves used to get to him.I wasnt going to bother answering this question until I knew which game you meant and as your terminology was different I wasnt sure
