All video projectors use an internal "scaler" to optimize the source to the display. Built in scalers do not usually do as good a job as an outboard scaler. Many companies including Faroudja, Fora, Kramer, Gefen and many others make such devices. One company that sells a variety and has experienced sales staff is Full Compass. Get their advice, and tip the scalers in your favor.
