I had the same problem when I came from India. I suggest you write a lot and read a lot.  That's what I did. I wrote about my day every night and then re-read it to see if there was punctuation problems.  You can also buy books that tell you about grammar, fragments, and framing sentences.  The best one is called The Elements of Style http://search.barnesandnoble.com/The-Ele... Also, read A LOT. Read books, magazines, and pay attention to how the writer is writing.  If you don't know a word, look it up. Reading will be the best way in fact.  And, last, you should take a English course on writing and grammar at a nearby community college.

The best way to improve your English is to read books in English. Find a subject you enjoy (mysteries, romance, science fiction, anything you like) and read as many books as you can. You will be able to see how sentences are structured.

I think native English speakers should read a lot as well, because many native speakers also have poor grammar!

Read a lot more. Get books free from the library, easy books that you can read for fun. The more you see the proper grammar and structure in print, the easier it will be for you to do the same.
