  1. have a person who u think is good help you and give you tips on what to do and tells you how to do it correctly!!!

  2. I hate to say it but practice, practice, practice.  Have a friend come over and play with you and that would be considered practicing... They always say practice makes perfect.... Good Luck!

  3. Here's a fun way to improve short passing skills under pressure (and at the same time, improve closing-down skills as a defender)

Get some friends to stand in a circle.

Get 1 person to stand in the middle of the circle. Now get people to pass a ball around the circle using 1 touch only - the person in the middle has to intercept the passes while the people on the outside have to make sure he doesn't touch it.

The ball is not allowed outside the circle. Whoever messes up, replaces the guy in the middle

To vary it, you can make the circle larger or smaller or put more than one person in the middle.

  4. Practice, Practice, Practice!  I used to play off the roof of my house and it works pretty good!

When the ball comes to you get down low and use your legs.

just slightly pop it up not hard.

Also have someone hit it to you. I had my sister do that when i first started and that was 3 years ago.

It helps you not be so scared of the ball when they are coming straight at you!

  5. well I'm not going to go into a lot of detail I'm not sure what level you passing skill are at now, but you need first to work on your footwork. step-close, step,step-close, and step cross-over-hop, always in a low ready position with arms out.

another good drill is to have a partner stand about 4 ft in front of you and pass quickly and controlled back and forth always staying low.

form is a big part of being a great defensive player always staying low and being able to maneuver any where on the court in that low ready position and any time this is where the footwork will make all the difference in the world. its always the basics that will make you great.

  6. get down low , use ur legs when u pass it and come up. and ,sorry 2  say this ,but, practice!^_^

  7. practice!!!

  8. I'm guessing you play basketball. My hockey coach told me when I couldn't pass just practice passing to my dad in the garage. Maybe you could practice at your school or you and your friends or parents to help you. If you're on a basketball team, ask your coach, he/she will be happy to help!
