  1. i'm not a setter but, i'm an outside hitter.  what i do is make sure i get a good approch and jump as high as you can and slam it into the floor! lol.

  2. what i had to do was i had to run laps and alternate in between bumping and setting as im runny, try that and that might help  and also when your approaching to set the ball mak sure your not too far forward or to far back when you are under the ball, and you also need to pratice, practice, practice, and for hits you should jump as high as you can and hit downwards,

         hope this  helps:)

  3. first of all u need to practice, practice and practice to succeed!!lol!!we have the same problem cause im also in a volleyball team but im ok in hitting the ball but when it comes to setting they always say that grace practice more ok!?that's why i keep on practice!!lol!..haha!!..im quite good but not really good and im also good in spiking!!

  4. just keep practicing. to help you hit practice you approach at home everynight.that helped me to get it down and it also helps you jump higher.for setting set to yourself over and over everynight.

    practice makes perfect!

  5. Setting: Many players slap at the ball with stiff fingers. Use a medicine/weighted ball and start slowly. Keep your thumbs back, they should point at your eyes. Catch, hold and release the medicine ball. This will condition your hands to be soft.

    Also, practice, practice, practice.

Hitting: First off, you must be able to get above the tape. The key is to jump 90% vertically and 10% horizontally. You must get on top of the ball to get topspin.

It requires much co-ordination and skill to play VB well.

    Again, practice, practice, practice.

  6. for sets-maybe you can start on the wall, stand like two feet away and do reps of short quick sets, then when your done take few steps back and set the ball higher.  Make sure your right foot is infront all the time after you set the ball and hands are above your forehead.  After your done you can go on the court and ask someone to toss balls to you and apply everything that you were doing. and you need a lot of practice...oh and make sure your hips always face the antenna when you set a ball.

  7. For hits--

*Put both ur hands up when approaching the ball

    *left, right, left

    * think of someone u hate on the other side

  8. practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, practice, and do it again.
