How can i improve video quality? when I go from mini mode to fullscreen mode it seems to loose quality?

  1. That is what compression does - when video is compressed, information is discarded. Looks good in a small window. When you go full-screen, looks bad. Same thing happens with still pictures - looks great full screen as a 3 meg, 8 megapixel picture, but when compressed to a 50k low quality image, it looks terrible when zoomed...

    So... if the video you captured was highly compress (like DVD based camcorders do - or like when you select highest amount of time for video instead of highest quality video (which means lower amount of time available to store - hard drive and flash memory based camcorders also allow for this), you will have poor quality, highly compressed, video. If the original video was captured as "Low quality", there is no way to magically fix this - the video data was discarded and is gone forever.

    This is one of the reasons miniDV tape continues to provide the best available video quality - DV and HDV (generally stored on miniDV tape) applies the least amount of compression to the video which results in best available video quality when compared to other consumer storage media.

    Your computer's video card has little to do with any of this.
