How can i increase my stamina?

Hi my new gym class will require me to run for long periods of time and I am more of a weight lifter then runner. The longest i can run is probably 15 minutes. So my question is how can i increase my stamina or in other words my running time.

  1. 15 minutes won't help!!

    u need atleast 20-25mins 4 that neway run at same speed without ne acceleration or retardation! and increase ur speed to max in the last 1:30 mins of ur 15.


  2. I don't train much but the best thing you can do to improve your stamina is training running or swimming. Since your new gym class is doing running then if I were you I'd jog about 20-30 minutes on a treadmill, or outside. You say you can't run long but you can still jog. If you can finish 20 minutes then try to push yourself to the limit. Jog 35 minutes instead. Keep pushing yourself. If you keep going like that, I'd guarantee you a big difference in your stamina by the end of 2 weeks.
