Question:

How can i increase stamina while dancing??

i started doing the melbourne shuffle not to long ago..

its a real high energy dance works mainly your mid-lower body, but boy does it drain me of breath and energy quickly. like i may be able to go for a minute or so and be sooo tired after lol.. take a break and go again. i picked it up because i thought it would be a fun addition to my exercise routine and it is lol.. but i just run out of breath to quickly for my liking.

any idea for how i can increase my stamina and maybe go non stop for maybe the length of an entire song? lol.. or is the only way to just keep at it?

  1. go jogging every morning, gradually increasing the time you run for, increasing your fitness and increasing the time you can dance for!

  2. looks like your going to have to do some breathing exeriises to make your lungs stronger and if you smoke stop smoking if your around any one that smokes stay from that all you can second hand smoke is hurting your perform ance i know i have breathing problems now i can not breathe on my own hope this works for you good luck my friend

  3. You sound unfit but you could try sucking a glucose tablet. Try eating a banana to increase pottasium in the bloodstream

  4. well try to go for long jogs or power walks that will increase your stamina kepp on practice ing the dance you do and also go for regular long walks and runs... my sister does that and now she is really fit!!!!
