  1. Faraday's Law of induction: "The induced electromotive force or EMF in any closed circuit is equal to the time rate of change of the magnetic flux through the circuit."

    Increase the frequency of the incoming supply voltage.  This will increase the time rate of change of the flux, thus increasing the speed of the motor.


  2. To be honest, I"m not familiar with his law, but I know if you simply increase voltage, you'll increase the speed, but you'll also decrease the life span of the motor.

               f =Frequency of the applied voltage to the motor

              P = Number of poles inside the motor

    so You can can change the spped in two ways either by varying the Frequency or by Number of Poles.Practicaly in most of the cases the number of Poles are fixed inside the motor.The frequency control is most commonly used.
