They need to be a member first, then you have to make them a moderator. Get it? Its real easy.

Your friend needs to become a member of your group first.  Then you can make your friend a moderator of it this way:

Sign in to your group and click on Members.  

Locate your friend's name on the member's list that you want to assign as moderator.

Click Edit Membership located underneath friend's name.  

Click Change to Moderator.

Click Make Moderator.

Click on Save Changes.
