How can i join other groups?

First, you need to find other Groups that you think are interesting enough (good enough) for you to join.  Start by logging in to the Yahoo Groups home page ( http://groups.yahoo.com/ ).  From here, you have two choices.

If you have a particular hobby or regular activity or other interest that you want to find a Group for, then you can enter this hobby/activity/interest in the Search box at the top of the page, then click the big Search button just to the right of this box.  Browse through the search results that you get until you find a Group that you want to join.  Then click on the name of that Group to access its home page.

If you can't think of anything to search for, you can browse the Groups in various categories.  In the middle of the Yahoo Groups home page will be a Browse Groups heading with a bunch of categories listed below it.  Click on the category that interests you the most.  If you want, you can select a specific sub-category from the list on the right-hand side of the resulting page.  Future pages will list further sub-categories near the top of the page.  At any time in this process that you want, you can stop picking sub-categories and instead look through the list of Groups on that page.  Again, when you find a Group you want to join, click on its name to access its home page.

After you've done one of the above two methods to get to the home page of a Group you want to join, then you can easily join the Group by clicking the Join This Group Button on the right-hand side of the Group's home page.  Read through the next page you get, and choose the various Group settings it asks you to set.  Don't forget to click the Join button near the lower-right-hand corner when you're done.
