You can also try joining by e-mail using the group's subscribe address which will look something like this:

Go to the Group's home page at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/fun_and_fu... .  Then click the Join This Group button on the right-hand side of that page.  Then follow the directions on the resulting page.  When you're done following those directions, don't forget to click the Join button towards the lower-right-hand corner to finish the process.
