  1. I'm a keeper as well but I'm about 5'6''. :) what I was told by a former coach of mine (now the assistant coach at Arizona State University) that repetition is a big part of getting higher. Jumping rope and other repeating activities will help gain some ups. also squats and calf raises at your local gym. another drill that i was taught was two cone 10 to 15 yards apart, you start in your starting position (like someone was about to shoot on you) and you jump. Then you shuffle or cross over to the other cone then jump at that cone. Doing this is an easy yet effective way to improve your jumps and also improving your fitness at the same time. Hope this helps!

  2. You could get jumpsoles those help. Calf raises, Ride your bike. Seriously get jumpsoles go to jumpusa.com and look at workouts that you can do with them. They would work without them though. You should get them

  3. I am a soccer goalie too

i have 2 10 pound weights that i tie on my feet and i just jump when i practice, once you take them off you will jump higher.

Also biking is really good and anything that is a leg excercise with weights, make the weights a bit heavier though.

  4. im a goalie to, and i put different things just in front of the goal, and get someone to kick the ball to one side, you have to jump over the object and save the ball, it's hard at first , as you worry you may hit it, but because your brain knows it will hurt if you hit it, it makes you jump higher

(similar to an unrelated subject that you run faster when running away to save yourself than you can at any other time.)

  5. Incorporate a good plyometrics routine into your workout. I play hockey and plyometrics is absolutely essential for building explosiveness especially when it comes to jumping and speed.
