  1. Based on how you formed your question I'm assuming you are referring to a child's size pool.

Kiddie pools as I like to call them and larger inflatable pools are impossible to keep clean with out some sort of pump and vacuum.  You can easily skim the top with a pool net to get floating debris but that's about the most you can do.

The only way to get the algae and other gunk off of the sides and bottom is to dump it and clean it.  I know it is a waste but it's the only way.  Even large pools with pumps build up algae and debris on the bottom and need to be vacuumed with the pump.

I think you can by a small vacuum for the smaller pools but I'm not positive.  For more in depth information I'd suggest calling your local pool supply store and talk to them.

I hope I have been of some help to you.  Good Luck and Happy Swimming!!!

  2. You could but chlorine tablets as needed, depending upon the size of pool. You could also get a small pool net and net away all the leaves and grass. Another thing you could do is buy a cover or tarp to keep out the debris.

  3. Put a pool cover on it.

  4. You might also add some bleach to the water - this would help prevent algae growth.  I don't know how much bleach to add, though.  You could look it up on line, I guess.

  5. You could use a skimmer like some people with large permanent pools use where you can scoop out things like grass and bugs but for dirt and stuff like that it's really no use, inflatable pools were really meant to be enjoyed for an hour at most, beyond that they start getting pretty gross with things (like infants and no santitizing chemicals in the water? No thanks, I'd rather sqeeze the water out of elephant pies like Bear Grylls did on "Man vs. Wild")

  6. no, the water needs to be circulated by a pump to keep it from becoming stagnate and full of many harmful bacterias and organisms.

  7. you can do it it is possible you just need a net and you go around in the pool and clean it

  8. Let's just say the cost of circulating the water is not worth it.  Emptying and refilling the pool is the only way.  If you don't want to empty the pool in a wasteful manner, use the water in areas of your home such as watering the lawn, trees etc.

Seriously, don't waste your time buying a pump and chlorine.
