  1. Depends how long of a drive. I would freeze it and keep it in a cooler if you have a ways to drive. When I worked at a bait shop we would cup it and then put it straight in the freezer and it would sit there sometimes for a month or so. It normally takes around 20-30 min. in a bucket with some lake water to thaw out

  2. freeze it. I have taken the same tub the last two weeks. Smells horrible but do not notice it after it freezes.

  3. I seperate my chicken livers when I have time.

I'll get a bag of livers and seperate the whole batch into smaller bags and freeze them... When I want to use them I put the bags into a 1 gallon freezer bag, cover with ice and use as needed.

I do the same thing if I'm netting them.

But if I'm in a hurry I'll just keep'em on ice.

  4. A cooler with ice

  5. The thing with catfish is they actually like rotten bait, if you can stand the smell then leave it in the sun for a day and your chicken liver will work even better, if you have got a really long trip and want it to last keep it cool.

  6. Put it in 2sandwich bags and let it sit out in the sun. they like rotten food!

  7. Keep it frozen and then before ya' head out let it thaw, wrap it up in somethin' that'll keep it from stenchin' up the inside and or trunk of your car. Then on your arrival stick it in the sunlight (unwrapped) and get it "stunkin' " up even more... Cats luv stinky bait ie., the "smellier" daaaaaaaa' BETTER!!!!! Tight lines and have a safe/good trip ;)...

  10. I've had great luck with thawing the liver and cutting up my mom's, or now my wife's, old pantyhose.  If you cut it into small squares, you can put your liver in the center and pull the pantyhose around it and tie.  When you run your hook(s) through the material, it stays on very well.  Freeze and keep frozen or at least in a lunch box cooler until about an hour before you want to use the little liver balls.  BTW, I freeze all of it individually, and once frozen I can put several into one container for that trip.  Good luck.
