How can i keep cockatoos and birds off my balcony and destroying my plants?

I keep getting cockatoos and other birds landing on my balcony railings and making a mess. They are also digging around in the soil of my potted plants and driving me insane!

Try making a couple of cut outs of a cat that are painted and the eyes are those little bubble eyes that move then fix them to a spring and put on the ledge or railing so when the wind blows they slightly move giving the impression that you have a cat or a couple of cats.

just put some spikes point-up in your flowerpots and on your railings. they work on pigeons, so they might work on smarter birds too.

I have the same issue wiht my balcony.There so gross and make a hugeee mess.

I've heard if you put up shiny things it scares them away.

I guess if you keep shoeing them to theyll get scared and not come back.

They like you. You are putting out some nice greenery for them to eat. It is kind of like a buffet to them. I guess you live in Australia??
