  1. WASH !! It's very simple. Soap, water, a flannel if you use one. Just wash. Oh... and you're in high school... you're supposed to have acne. Stop being so conceited and have a great time in Chicago !! Jeez :P

  2. I am a Registered Nurse and I specialize in skin care and teen acne.

Your question is very broad and you need to get professional advice. I will explain why it's a broad question!

Your age plays a role! How old are you? Do you always have breakouts?

However, acne can result from several factors such an increase in hormone levels. In males testosterone or androgens. In females, androgens respectively. The increase in androgen levels can stimulate the oil glands to become enlarged and thus more oil production is produced. An increased oil production can clog the pores with oil or sebum ( white thick substance) which cause the cell walls of the pores in the skin to breakdown. This process allows bacteria to form and thus breakouts develop.

Genetics may also be a cause. It is a myth that greasy food or chocolate causes breakouts.

If you are a teenager ( which I assume that you are) your hormones play a definite role in your breakouts.

If you have severe breakouts than you might need medication. There are many factors.

The most important thing is that you need products that are AGE APPROPRIATE!  Every age group has different products appropriate for them. If you are young than you need milder products as to not dry out your beautiful young skin.

The problem with commercial skin products is that they are manufactured for MASSES OF PEOPLE and are not specifically made for different peoples' needs.

Your skin type is different than mine and your age differs from mine so how is it logical that we both use the same skin product for breakouts. We need different strengths of cleansers and toners. Do you kind of understand what I am getting at?

Here is my STRONG SUGGESTION for you.  I refer all my students and patients to this website:

    www.aboutyourskincare.com

You need to consult with professionals and on this website YOU CAN ASK QUESTIONS FOR FREE AND A SKIN EXPERT/PHYSICIAN WILL ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS. It would be a shame if you dont take advantage of this free service.

Lastly, they have incredible products for breakouts and they make them specifically for every kind of skin type. That means that if your breakouts are more severe than mine, than while we both will buy the same product yours will have stronger ingredients than mine will.

THEY INCLUDE INSTRUCTIONS IN THEIR PACKAGES THAT THEY SEND OUT TO YOU.... and M-S you can call them and they will help you if you have any questions.

They have a mild glycolic acid cleanser that's great for your type of skin and also a DRYING LOTION ( I have 3 bottles) that you put directly on your breakouts and the next day it's gone. It's truely magic in a bottle.

A basic guideline for properly taking care of your skin is this ( now if you're a young girl you will need fewer products than this):

    Night time:

    1. Exfoliate the skin

    2. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    3. Mild Glycolic Acid Toner ( cleans off the excess debris and balances the PH level of the skin).

    4. Drying Lotion used only on breakouts

    5. Moisturizer

    Morning:

    1. Mild Glycolic Acid Cleanser

    2. Moisturizing cream

The above is a standard you may need to only use one or two products. Visit: www.aboutyourskincare.com

As  I suggested and click on the ASK FOR FREE section send them an email and you will get free expert skin care advice.

  3. I completely understand, around my sophomore year of high school i started to get TERRIBLE acne problems.  I tried lots of things but nothing seemed to work, but now I looked back through the treatments, and decided to try using just ONE of them to try and make it go away once and for all.  Well, I guess I was just trying too many things at a time!  Go to a dermatologist and get a prescription for Diffirin.  It works for me, my skin is almost completely clear now!

  4. Drink 6 Cups of water a day,  thats 3  16 oz water bottles every day.  Try not to eat greasy foods and chocolate(if it breaks you out) and get a good astringent for your face and even a cream that targets big pimples. ( but be careful to follow directions cause it WILL dry your face out.) Eat fruit and vegetables ( and if you are not used to eating alot you are going to need Gas-ex, he he).

  5. Well i used to us ARBONNE ADVANTAGE but my body just sort of created a immunity for itt. so what i use now are three things from one line of acne killers and one thing from another one.

    1. OXY FACIAL SCRUB MAXIMUM... this is a great acne wash for reducing redness in acne and decreasing the size of them noticably

    2. OXY FACIAL PADS CLEAR MAXIMUM.. what these do are after you wash your face with the scrub this soothes your face and brings a cooling sensation.. pluss these are great for oily faces becuse they wipe away the oil.. and they create a sort of shield so that no bacteria can get inside of your pores.

    3. OXY VANISHING LOTION MAXIMUM.. this is one of my favorite things. what this does is it cleans your pores out so that more that 99.99% of the bacteria is out of them.. then you cann just put it one your pimples as sort of a mask for about ten minutes then wash it off and the size, color and roundness of your pimples should be more than halfway gone

    4. CLEAN AND CLEAR PERSAGEL..thi is by far my favorite thing.. this totally erases all of your pimples. you just put it on before you go to sleep kind of as a mask and the next morning when u wake up our acne should be totally gone. also if you are conserned that your coverup is going to clog your pores then just right before you apply your coverup use this as alotion and rub it all over yourface thenn just apply your coverup as iff nothijng is there. it will help fit acne. plus since it is pretty thicke it will coverup your pimples noticably

all of the following things that i just listed up there i bought at my local grocery store for under 5$ each..

i hope that this will workk.. haha i know it will../ good luck!!

  6. Well make sure to get regular sun exposure for the UV light dries out acne and evens skin tones (in moderation of course)

Also get a good acne cleanser and most importantly, a moisturizer suited for your specific skin type.

People don't realize that if they use a moisturizer for dry skin when they have oily or combination skin (oily and dry) then the extra moisture creates more oil on the face causing tremendous break outs (from the build up of bacteria).

Also, dont wear make up on your face for this creates suffocation of the skin and blockage of toxin release. Dont touch your face with your hands (the bacteria and oil fromy our hands gets immediatly transfered to the delicate and sensitive skin on your face).

Since your only a teenager, breakouts are going to happen no matter what, but keep your face and your body clean (drink lots of water, NO POP) and your face will show how healthy you are.

  7. Try applying soaked oat.....i heard it good for acne....

and yeah in high school.....it ok.........it will get better with age!!!1
