  1. buy a ski bag or wrap your skis in a blanket when you transport them.  most of the scratches in the top sheet come from the skis bouncing around and rubbing on things in your car, ski rack, or truck.

  2. Don't ski with thin spots when rocks and dirt is sticking through. Never gonna be perfect though.

  3. i am sorry... i have tried to figure this one out for myself.. it just happens you cant really avoid it.. just try not to hit stuff and next time you buy skis get ones with texture or a flat non gloss colour... it makes scratches less noticable.

  4. The only possible way is to leave them in the rack at home.

  5. Ski racks and bags are good to minimize scratches during transport.

I personally don't care about the look on the top side. But, if you really really want to keep them shiny... Buy sticky lining paper that is usually to line drawers. Apply it along the top side of the whole ski. Then use a sharp knife to trim off the excess paper. They are thin enough so they will not affect the flexes. They are easily removable even after a long time. And, you can paint your own cool design on it.

    Have fun!

  6. Don't wax the top. It's a waste of wax and it'll just come off anyway. I take a couple chunks out of the tops of my skis by falling (not preventable) and banging the skis together on the chair lift to get the snow off (preventable).

Using a ski bag is a good idea too.

The only other thing I can think of is to use P-tex on the top. It's more durable than wax, but will come off eventually.

  7. skis are peaces of equipment get over it!
