you can harden up the face and edges by rolling the bat on the round edge of the bath.  Or use a rolling pin

My m8s got da same problem as you, he spent like the whole day knocking it in, use the proper cricket mallet, the wooden one so that u can knock it in good. If you can't knock it in all the time, jus giv about 5-10 mins each day before the season starts.

I would concentrate more on your use off the English language mate. Is it too hard to string a sentence together these days? I think so.

If you don't have a mallett, use a cricket ball, bounce it on the bat continually. Yes it's late but you need to knock the bat in as much as possible. I pity your housemates!

Get two towels place on on the bat the other around the head of the mallet. Now you can hit a lot harder and not make muhc noise at all!
