I will buy a snowboard set from the United States while i live in Greece. Will i need to pay customs service?

I mean, i will pay 200$ for the shipping...will i have to pay more when it comes here?

The set will cost about 400$ without the shipping costs.

  1. You have no way of knowing in advance if the shipment is intercepted by customs.  Customs will normally collect VAT at the standard rate, plus whatever duties are involved.  You must pay those to have the shipment released.  Most shipping companies can act as collecting agent for Customs and they will probably add their own fees for handling the Customs paperwork and collecting and rendering the taxes and duties.
