  1. I'll be very blunt, 4 years is not enough time for anyone to become an international fencer.  If you've never fenced in an international fencing competition (FIE competition), then you don't have the skill to be in the Olympics, let alone get gold.  But it's never too late to start (but start small and keep your bigger dream in mind).  First you need to start fencing at an A-rating level (the highest in the country), which is difficult enough, I've been fencing for 3 years now and I'm only at a B-rating (that next step is the hardest).  Then once you've gotten an A-rating, you need to compete in every North Atlantic Cup in the same year and get enough points to put you in the top 4 rankings in the country.  That will qualify you for the World Team (you'll compete in World Cups).  If you can do that in the same year that a Summer Olympics is being held, then you will qualify for the US Olympic team.

  2. know it and practice it

  3. (Very good! You have high hopes..keep it up..I wish your dreams come true..Practice practice and practice..that will help you..)

You dont know whether you have skill? Approach the right sportsperson and start your practice as soon as possible..

    All the Best!!!!!
