How can i know that the ball is solid or stripes? or 8 -ball?

I don't know if I'll vote for Johnny's answer as being the best but it did make me smile. Your question is very clear but I'll give an answer a whirl. The stripes, 9 through 15 have a stripe around the ball. Solids, 1 through 8 are simply solid in color. The eight ball is always black. Each ball has a small circle on it with a number on it, 1 through 15. You may want to mention what game you are playing when you pose your next question.

If it is solid it will be one color but if it is stripes it will have two colors on it. 8 ball make sure you hit it last, and call the shot when you go to make it.

well lets see, an 8 ball is black, stripes are literally striped, and solids are exactly as they sound....if you don't know this, why are you playing pool
