How can i know the age of my turtle??

i got 2 turtles as a gift and i dont know how old r they...so can u tell me plz how can i know?? and i also wanna know what species are they? thank you

You have to know when it hatched. Counting rings tells you nothing, despite what the first answerer said. They aren't trees. I have a three year old Sulcata tortoise and it has over twenty rings. So what does that tell me? Nothing!

take them to your local vet or petshop.

but you wont find out the exact age, but you will know the breed.
