  1. I always get in the mood of bio really fast because it is very interesting to know things that exists and we never heard about before, unlike math and physics.

  2. I found that reading from a biology textbook and taking Cornell notes was very effective :D. I took AP biology and my teacher was quite unhelpful so I was basically on my own for the AP exam.

So yeah that's all I did for 8 months: read and take notes. But in the end, y'know it's worth it lol. It's great being able to explain how every biological process you see works hahaha how nerdy.

It's a different story if you're a visual learner though...

by the way i received a 5 on the exam :)

  3. You know when I was young, I ALWAYS had problem concentrating and could not sit on my *** for more then 10 minutes, my parents were less then helpful. Then one summer I decided to take studying more seriously

    This is what I did

I took a simple biology and chemistry book and studied each for one hour. How? very simple. Start from page one, take a section and read it and TRY TO UNDERSTAND, DO NOT MEMORIZE, go back and read through the section a second time and, this time, underline (with a pencil of course of it is not your book, but it is better if you buy yourself some text books) key points, then skim it a third time and this time draw and make some notes for yourself. Go on to the next section. When you are done a couple of section and feel you have "mastered" the information being presented, close all your notes and the book get up of the chair and pretend you are trying to present the information to your classmates, TALK OUT LOUD. If you can present the information you known your stuff. Move on to the next section and so on and so forth!!

I'm sure you can manage AND this will go faster once you get into the habit of it. Just always try to concentrate, I know it is hard at times and you must really force yourself, but that's the only way to do it! Reading and not paying attention is a waste of time

  4. Read...

  5. If you're willing to download, I have a link that offers 500 biology books ( for free)

The only way to home study, without any peers, is read, read, read.
