How can i learn how to skateboard?

i don't want to do tricks but i want to use it as a mode of transportation....what type of board should i get (not expensive). thanks

ATM, Mini-Logo, or just a blank board.  These boards have quality, and cost half the price of a pro board, at 35 dollars.  Pro boards cost about 65 dollars.  These really do have good quality, and i recommend them to many people.  Even if you start to learn basic things like manualing, and ollies, this board can easily handle things like that, and much more.

If transportation is ALL you want then DEFINITELY get a long board.

Their wheels are much bigger and enable you to still be able to go on all sorts of terrains.

as far as learning how to do it all you have to do is practice practice practice.
