Question:

How can i learn to do the splits super fast left and right ones?? please help asap?

im on a dance team and we are becoming more of a drill team and i need to learn the splts like in two weeks ive been stretching but i just can go all the way down. some people tell me it will be very hard for me because i have really long legs please help!=(

  1. Find your inner Zen first...


  2. It doesn't matter about the length of your legs.

    Stretch, then slide out to your splits. After about 3 minutes, you should be able to slide out a bit farther. Hold it for a couple of minutes.

    Since you have to learn these so quickly, I would recommend doing them more than once a day.

    When doing the splits:

    -make sure your back leg is straight. You won't help your splits if it's bent. try doing your splits on a line on the ground

    -make sure your back knee is under you and not to the side

    -point your toes while you do it

    -just stretch just hamstrings and quadriceps a lot and practice

    -i am also on the dance team and one girl once told me that once you get close, just let yourself fall into the splits. It might hurt, but she said that if you can do that, then you will be able to do the splits. i wouldn't suggest it if you aren't far down. You could really hurt yourself.

    -just stretch ALL THE TIME AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE. if you are on the phone or watching TV, just sit in straddle or the other stretches.

  4. The best way to learn splits is to start out with one leg behind and extended all the way with the other leg bent in front and touching the floor.  Then do the front leg extended all the way with the back leg bent on the floor.  The key is to stretch the right muscles without straining the others.

    toe tutch stretch- iz wen u ..(this is gunna sound gross)

    u squat and open ur legs as far as u kan and push ur legs bak by putting ur hands on the side of ur knee. (srry reely hard to explain.)

    and u kan push urself down while doin da splits.

  9. size of ur legs dont matter! everyday u should stretch ur spits. wat also helps is put ur front leg on a chair and go into ur splits. itll hurt but it helps. hold it there for like a minute or so and do ur middles (put one of ur legs on the chair. ull be sideways for this one) left (left leg should be on the chair) and the right splits(right leg on the chair) then later do it again except the back leg on the chair. so in ur rite splits, face away from the chair, but ur left leg on the chair and go in ur splits. for the left splits ur rite leg should be on the chair. in ur middles use the other leg than before. also make sure the chair isnt that far off the ground. when i said a chair i meant something smaller like maybe a stool or a toddler chair.

  10. it is really hard it takes practice i still can't go down all the way all i'll say is don't !!!!! hurt yourself cause then u relly won't be able to do one!
