  1. well im not sure how to surf.

  2. try to get one that is about almost your size and make sure its not that heavy becuz it will throw you off go to the beach and make friends to see if they can help u

  3. your lite so go with a small board 3 fins give u nice control

  4. get a coach to teach uuuuuuu

  5. look in the whitepages for a number on a surf board shop they will have someone to teach you especially if your HOTT!

  6. I would definitely start on a longboard (Between 8-9.5 ft). This is because the longer the board is the easier it is to paddle out, catch waves, and stand up. You can buy a foam board at Costco for like 100 bucks or you could buy a used board at a surf shop for about 100-200 bucks.

In addition to the surfboard you will also need wax for the board, a leash, and possibly a wetsuit. The water is cold until about July and even then it is a little nippy. I always where a suit but hate being cold. Anyway, since you live in San Diego i would recommended going to surf at Terra Mar (Carlsbad). The waves are really easy there and everyone there is willing to help you out.

    See you in the water!!!

    PS

Don't take surf lessons. They are a waste of money. The best way to learn to surf is to just get out there.

    GOOD LUCK!

  7. try getting out in the water.....that might help......i used to live in ob so i know there is plenty of water there

  8. usually, there are people who will teach you

  9. You need to take surfing lesson and to go on line to research boards.

After that, you must pray to me - Rev. Al - The God of Surf.  Then you must learn and sing surfing songs. I will be watching.

  10. I'm an east coast surfer and I haven't been in San Diego for a zillion years (Vietnam war era), but I know that there is plenty of surf in SoCal. Go to a surf shop, a real surf not, not a bathing suit store that sells some surfboards, and talk to the folks there. They are surfers, and will help buy the right board for you and the break(s) you will be riding. They will hook you up with some lessons, too. You need to be a strong ocean swimmer first. Take some lessons, work on getting in shape and learn  surf etiquette. A surf shop is the place to ask this question, not some lame computer. For all you know, I live in Nebraska. That being said, go learn, have fun.
