How can i leave and how long will it take?

ok, ill have to go into deeper detail since the other people didnt seem to understand so well. my parents abuse me, emotionally and physically. my grandma has been at my bathroom door at one in the morning callin me a L*****n(im not) with a knife. she threw a bible at my face. they call me horrible names w***e, stupid, say they hate me, im not good enough, etc. i called my dad who lives in TN (im in MS) and he said he would help me. ive only got one yr left and i dont want to go all the way up there. can he get custody then emanicipate me?

why doesnt he send for you now. or you can go to the police and tell them of your abuse. they will take you into foster care, they may do some research on what happened, but at least you wont be home and safe, then they may just send you to your dads. it may take about 3 months at the most. however all cases are different. but you need to leave before you get hurt. best wishes

You need to get out of there. Do whatever it takes. Legally, I think you're old enough to decide who you want to live with, but I don't know. You might have to prove that they're physically abusing you.

talk to your dad and if he cant help you fast ... talk to some adult to really trust or go and talk with the police
