Why Ask such a General Question, when we are Living in a World with New TV Technology!!

For Standard Definition TV's, you would use either an S-Video Cable, or a Composite Video Cable (Like an Old Game Console).

For HDTV's, use a VGA Cable. Some People can use an HDMI Cable. These Lucky fools will be Able to Transmit BOTH Video & Sound in One Cable this way!! ;)

If it's a laptop computer you can link it up to the television using a special cord that you can probably buy from an electrical store that sell laptop computers. If it's an actual computer then I have no idea. I don't think you can, but I have been wrong in the past.

If you have one of the new LCD / Plasma TV's, you are very likely to have a blue VGA Port at the back. You'll need a VGA cable (There may be one in your monitor) to connect it, then switch to the RGB / PC / VGA channel and see your computer.

If you don't have a VGA Port, then you'll need to get a VGA to Scart adaptor.

Please note that you will only get a picture. For sound, you'll need a 3.5mm jack cable, which again, some TVs don't have.
