How can i lock the LG Dare with passcode?

Question

How can i really lock my LG Dare. Not only the key lock but really passcode lock? I know I can lock the phone by going to "phone settings|security|lock the phone". Is there a short cut for that? It seems strange to me that nobody want this function in case their phone is stolen?

u press the phone bottom button in ur your lil shortcutt bar and u hold the pound key!
