  1. run 1 mile every day for a week, then 2 miles the next week. try improving your pace each time you run. don;t cut back on eating because it is hard to do and just eat normally. also have a healthy breakfast.

  2. Step 1)  Get off the computer, and turn off the TV.

Step 2)  Go for a walk, ride a bicycle, do some simple exercises like jumping jacks, situps, pushups, crunches, etc.

Step 3)  Fad diets don't work - stick to the tried and true, avoid sugary, fatty, fried, and overprocessed food.  Try to limit your portion size, but I've determined that as long as you exercise regularly, and burn more calories than you take in, then you can pretty much eat whatever you want.

I was 230# when I started going to a gym (I'm 6'3" so I can hide a few extra pounds).  I wasn't horribly out of shape, because I ride long distance bicycle, and live a fairly active lifestyle.  I do sit for long periods of time at my job (electrical engineering) though, so I figured I better do something about it.

It's been less than a year since I started, and I haven't really altered my diet at all (though I do try to eat relatively healthy).  I weighed myself last night, and was 192.3#.

I've actually lost more than the 38# that the scale shows, because I've put some back on in muscle.  I'm not trying to build up my body too much though - it takes too much time and work to maintain (plus puts additional strain on your heart and lungs).  I mainly focus on toning my muscles, and specific areas (abs especially).

A lot of the way other people see you has less to do with your weight, and more to do with how you carry yourself.  Sometimes it can be easier to be self-confident if you are proud of the way you look, but never let other people tell you how you need to be.

    Good luck!

  3. Excersise daily. Take jogs in the park each morning and afternoon. You COULD do sit ups, but that hurts the back/neck if you don't do it right. Also, EAT RIGHT! Do not eat a lot of junk food, or just try avoiding it in general. Eat lots of vegetables, do not skip breakfast; that won't help. You could also get into sports and basically just keep active!

  4. yes run 1 hour everyday

  5. Honestly, don't try any stupid diets. The best and only way to really lose the weight you don't like is to eat healthy and exercise regularily. You may not like the sound of that, you may be lazy or don't have good will power. But you asked a question, and I am giving you the answer.

Oh and drink a lot of water :)

  6. I'm not here to get my answer picked; lots of folks did have good enough advice already. I just wanna substantiate lots of it: Eat healthy and exercise.

But I'm also wanting to emphasize the "eat healthy" part. Whenever you are hungry, EAT! The reason being, if you starve your body, or even only skip meals, your body thinks you're low on resources, and thus starts storing up fat. I've stayed a healthy weight all my life just by snacking throughout the day, even in-between meals. A little bite here, a little bite there. Your body goes, "Wow, we've got plenty of food! No need to store fat!"

But as soon as you feel full, stop eating. Don't gorge. It takes time for your stomach to tell you it's full, so don't eat while distracted (watching tv, etc), and you can sooner feel the signal that it's full and put the leftovers away for later.

Do NOT skip out on carbohydrates like some suggested. Sure, you can lose some weight that way, but you also lose energy. Carbs are there to give you energy, and without energy, you can't do enough of the exercises you need, and you'll feel depressed and listless. You can cut down some on carbs, but don't cut them out altogether.

But even before that, try drinking a glass of water if you're hungry. Most times, it will make you feel full longer, will help you flush your system, and will reduce the amount of food you actually end up eating but without starving you. Plus you'll need more hydration for all the exercise you should try.

Both aerobic and anaerobic are good for their own purposes, but aerobic is the best. Learn proper breathing techniques so you don't get side cramps, and you can go on longer. Do stretches first, and don't overwork yourself. You do wanna push yourself, but not too far or you'll cause damage, or be too sore to do more next time. You can exercise every-other-day instead of every day, though that depends on how much your body can take.

I like to exercise my muscles by groups at a time. Then as soon as a round is over, I sit or lie down, relaxing those muscles, and I give them a deep massage. It seems to stimulate their development more, at least in my case. Try whatever you want.

As young as you are, though, it should be relatively easy. Please don't overdo it. Those runway models that look like twigs are NOT the "ideal" weight. Most guys I know in fact are turned off if a girl doesn't have some meat on her bones.

  7. Eat plenty of green vegetables. They are low in calories and high in nutrition. Also lift weights in circuit fashion to get a cardio workout plus stimulate your lean body tissue and speed up your metabolism. Here are some free workout videos and other tips to lose weight fast..

  8. I am having the same problem as you i am also going to 8th grade as well changing the school and want to have a good start my mom says exercise is the best way! and dont eat too much junk food!

  9. go  wheat  free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7

p.m.  People  achieve  marvellous  results  with it. Depending on your

initial  weight,  you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If you don't eat  wheat  then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey cakes, you don't  eat  junk  food,  and  you don't eat biscuits. But your diet is

still  balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to calculate points or to buy special meals or plans.

  10. 8th grade hua? Well, you're still pretty young so relax a little about your weight.

I think the main think is to eat healthy. I work with a personal trainer and they are always saying that weight loss is 80% of your food intake. Cut out sugars, SODAS and any sugary drinks. Snack on healthier things instead of chips or salty things.

Also go running for 30 mins every day. If you don't like to run, try walking quickly.

Overall - just enjoy who you are and love it. Because really, that's all you have.

  11. you can lose 15 lbs by next month if you do it right! I do it all the time! I gain like 15 lbs every 6 months or so out of slight carelessness, and when it starts getting really noticeable then I just put away that second plate of spaghetti and just make sure I'm out doing something and not around the house snacking the whole day. Sometimes I lose 2 lbs a week and other times I lose 9 lbs a week! depends on how diligent I am from week to week! =)

  12. You shouldn't even try, unless you are severely overweight, You are too young to be dieting. If you ARE overweight, then you should exercise ( walking or jogging a mile a day will work wonders). If you start dieting, all that will accomplish is that you will constantly lose and gain weight for the rest of your life.

  13. Cardio Excerise, 3x Week.

Eat a good mixture of Fruits / Veg.

    Eat Breakfeast, Lunch and Dinner

    No Dinner after 7 / 8PM.

    You'll be fine.
