  1. You do not need to lose weight at all, but if you feel like you need to do, just shaping up is probably what you need to do. There is no such thing as 'spot training' where you only work one part of your body, but it's the same old, same old: eating right and exercising other than normal activities. Consistency is the key, though.

  2. your not over weight at all! i know dancers are always seen as thin, but your average and thats good! If you desperatly wanted to lose weight, i would lose a whole 10 pounds. Besides, your weight means nothing. As long as you think you look good, thats fine. Dancers are very strong and your muscles will probably make you a little heavier than an average person your age- which is totally fine. i was the same exact way.

  3. you don't need to loose weight  i was under weight when  i was 13 i weighed 102lbs. if anything you need to gang like 4 or5 pounds. its really not good to be under weight.

  4. You are tiny darling TRUST me. I'm 5'6" and 110 and people always tease me about how little I am. If you're a ballerina you don't want to lose weight, you want to gain muscle which unfortunately weighs four times more than fat does. If you want more tone legs, grab a chair or a counter, a table any surface around waist high that you can hold on to and do eleves. 25 on left 25 on right 25 on left 25 on right. Do it periodically and your calves will be pure muscle. It's also good for your ankles if you plan on going on pointe if you aren't already there. Oh and for your thighs, just lay down on your back and hold your legs about a foot off the ground for as long as you can.

    Good luck!

  5. Body mass index is a measure of body weight that is useful for classifying the health risks of body weight. BMI is calculated by dividing your body weight (kg) by the square of your height (m).

    So for you:

    BMI = 48.5 kg / (1.65)² = 17.8

    Underweight BMI: < 18.5

    Normal: 18.5 - 24.9

    Overweight: 25.0-29.9

    Obesity: 30.0-34.9

    Extreme obesity: >40

So you are actually underweight, you could actually gain some weight to make sure you are in an optimal health range for your height.  If you grow taller, you will definetely have to gain some weight or risk health problems later in life.

  6. Heyy im also a teenage ballerina, and i weigh more then you. But you need to know that muscle weighs more then fat. I have a personal trainer and work out 3 days a week, and in a short period of time i've lost nearly 20 lbs. Excercise! Also, try getting a Body Mass Index done, this will tell you how much muscle you have, and then you can determine if your weight is fat or muscle, if you are mostly muscle then you are fine! 7. Dont worry be happy.  Eat smaller portions.  Do not stave yourself with a "diet"  just change your eating habits.  Do not eat until you are "so full" drink lots of water Please walk until you can run literally.

  8. Being 5'5", you really don't sound like you need to lose any weight, hun.  The only thing I would say to do if you feel you want to tone up in areas or something, then exercise a lil more (aside from your dancing) and drink lots of water and eat healthy.  But being 107 lbs at that height, you are pretty slim.  I am that tall and normally weigh 115-120 and am real skinny myself (I am preggo at the moment though hehe).  Hope this helps.  :)

  9. you aren't overweight.

but losing weight and basic physical activity is very good for your health, and it makes you feel better(:

do jumping jacks during commercials. 15 minutes a day, walk, jump, or run.

instead of pudding, have organic strawberry yogurt. instead of soda, drink water.

do this during your summer, and you'll be thinner and your teeth will start looking healthy, too.(:
