try a variety of types. school books aren't the best but if you're into mysteries, suspense, romance, comedy, eyc- try looking around in a bookstore. read the first page and if you're not hooked- try another book.

start with a series of books that is sooo good. then u would say "oh reading isnt so bad" and then you'll be cool with reading. Start by reading the Twilight saga.

the only way you can love books is by finding the type of story lines you like. you are going to take a long time until you realize what you like. so sit down, open a book, read the first chapter and if you do not like it just shut the book. you do not have to force yourself to read something; its for fun
