  1. Eat less

  2. The fastest way to lower your potassium is to exercise: in other words to burn energy. Any kind of energy burning activity or sports will do. However be careful : if your potassium level becomes too low you will start getting very painful nighttime cramps. You will then have to remedy those eating lots of bananas and tomatoes or just taking potassium supplement pills.

  3. Drink lots of water.  Potassium can be flushed from the system.  If it is actually high, your doctor would have prescribed diuretics for you to take.

  4. Decrease the amount of bananas and dark leafy greens that you eat.  Also, make sure you're not using "salt substitute" - it's potassium chloride (regular table salt is sodium chloride, so salt substitute is intended for people who need to decrease their sodium levels).

That said, if you have a potassium imbalance you really need to be taking care of that with the help of a doctor.  Potassium levels are supposed to be carefully regulated by your body, and if they get too far out of whack you can get very sick very quickly (messed up potassium levels can make your heart not function right).  Go see your doctor.

  5. for starters, don't eat any bananas!

sorry, i don't know much about vitamins, lol
