How can i maintain my dog if he's home alone in our apartment?

hey guys I'm worried for my newly bought puppy cuz i have to take care of him all on my own but i have to go to school so its 8 hours away from him and my dad and mom are at work everyday so i only have 2 days with him how could i maintain him for 8 hours? so do i just give him some food and just give hi at night or what? any more ideas on everything pls answer any answer will help

Didn't you consider this BEFORE you got the dog? It's just not fair to do this to ANY animal. Find a doggie Daycare for the times you are away. Or give him to someone who actually has the time to take care of it.

feed him 3 times a day as a puppy until 6 months you can start feeding twice a day. take him out about 15-20 minutes after feeding. I would also reccomend crate training him so he will not destroy your appartment while you're gone.

he needs lots of attention, affection and socialization, try a pet sitter, its not good for a dog to be in a crate 8 hrs, the most is 4, do u have a kennel ,and toys while you are gone?

crate training for puppies is a great idea, not only will it help when you have to take him on trips, if your against crating the puppy, maybe putting gates up in somewhere with a tiled flood (in case of accidents) like a bathroom or kitchen, get a soft bed to lie on if hes tired, a dish of clean water changed every day, and its your choice to feed the dog once (night or morning) or twice. depending on the breed of dog and how much exercises he is getting. for a while my two dogs were alone from 8 am to about 4 or 5. some dogs do get lonely so make sure you get him walks and spend time with him otherwise a friend might be necessary.

When you're near him spend lots of time with him and take him near as many people and dogs as possible.
