  1. What do you have living in your tank?

  2. It depends on what you have, but an easy thing to do is get big rock (big enough for whatever animal you have to lie on)

get it from a river if you don't have ohne in your yard. Then put it directly under your heat lamp (if you can't afford a heat lamp from the petstore, by a clamp lamp and use a  heat lightbulb) hope i helped, sorry for any typos, this is a new computer.

  3. get a cardboard box, cut out a portion of the square to the width of your animal, If you have a topless and bottomless square right now then we are good.... Now cut one of the corners so you have a straight piece of cardboard. It still has it's folds, so you have to cut off one of the sides (We'll call it side 4) and now you cut side 3 in half or however steep would be good for the animal. Now tape the two ends together and you have a modified triangle. Place it in the cage so that the longest end is facing the lamp. Place a thermometer on it to be sure it's not too hot and you have a very easy basking spot. Place fake grass or carpet scrap piece on the spot for basking so he dosn't fall off, and it gives extra comfort. Pretty soon you will have an idea what shape works best and you can probably fabricate it out of wood. find out what it likes first.

  4. I always used a brick for the basking area
