How can i make a glass wine bottle break with my voice

Question

i have seen videos about jaime vendera and i also hear that if u can break a wine glass with ur voice, then it means that u have a good voice. Since he can do it, i think i can. but i need to now how. do yall?

This is a really neat question to look into.

First of all, you need a crystal wine glass.  Crystal naturally resonates at a particular frequency.  This can be observed by dampening your finger and rubbing the rim of the glass until it "hums"

If you can produce sound vibrations that are at the crystal's natural frequency, you can get the same effect, the glass will hum even after you've stopped the sound.

If you continue at this exact frequency, getting louder and louder (i.e. increasing the amplitude of the sound waves while maintaining the frequency) the crystal will shatter.  This is because eventually, the crystal will no longer be able to withstand the vibrations you are causing within it.
