How can i make a poem about gas prices going up..?

how? by writing. basically, you use a pencil and a piece of paper. you should probably use your brain, too. have fun!

does it have to rhyme and/or have meter?

if not, just write a nonfiction paragraph, delete a lot so only some main words remain, a voila! a poem! for example:

Fish are aquatic animals that swim in the deep blue sea. The have gills...etcetc.

and then:

Fish

aquatic, swimming in the

deep

blue

sea.

Strange gills that...

etcetc.

I'd try four stanzas in 'Terza Rima" (Dorothy Parker was wonderful at it; Dante wasn't bad, either.)
