How can i make a really good impression in the marines

i am joining the royal marines and i have no idea what kind of people i will be hanging around with and i want to make a good impression. and not left out or seen as a loner can anyone help me?

firstly, get fit before you go, the careers office should be able to help you out on what level you need to achieve.

secondly, Attitude is everything, be positive, not gobby but confident. and above all professional.

Thirdly, Teamwork, all military units are a cohesive team of one sort or another. join in with the other guys, be it for a beer or helping each other out when there's work to do.

Hey i'm joining the royal marines too just passed my interview a few days ago.  My guess would be act professional when speaking to superiors at all times, unless it's evident that you are allowed to behave informally.  

For other recruits, just think of them as high school mates.  But remember to stick up for yourself, you don't want to look like a little ***** in front of everyone else.

Be kind and polite, talk to people don't act like a arrogant jerk and when it comes to doing something work your a*s of at everything you do. If you're not blowing out of your hoop you're ready to go again.

What you need to do, whether it is Basic training or out in the Marines, you need to be a team player. If your squad is selected for a work detail or given a task, do it and help others with thier tasks. You will be viewed as a team player and not a buddy-******. Oh and do not complain. Not only does it do you absoluely no good, your mates will get sick of hearing you. They will think you are a v****a if you are always complaining. And the number one best way for you to get along with your mates is serving in war together...so remember before you go to bed each night, pray for war.
