  1. Aww you are so sweet to care for a stray cat like that.  Our stray cat gave birth in the garage.  She was on an old blanket that was in the lower empty cupboard.  Lay a box (one that she will be able to get in) in a private area.  Make sure the private area is cozy and warm.  Lay some towels or an old blanket in there for it might get a little messy.  You might want to leave some food and water near by.  Don't worry about them when they are born.  Their mom will bite their cord off and nurse them 'till they are healthy.

    Hope i helped!!

  2. Just make sure she has a comfi spot to have the kittens that is quiet and safe.  And make sure she has water and food.  Is she inside now?  If she's inside or outside she'll probaby make her own nest somewhere else anyway.  Just watch her and when she is having the babies do not go near her unless you notice that there is a problem.

  3. first of all make sure the cat feels safe around you. you can put out a bowl of milk or water and if you have cat food so that she will be healthy enough to give birth. also if you have an old blanket or towel lay it outside by the food so everything is together. also make sure you put these things were the cat always shows up so that way she knows where it is.

  4. Make a comfortable box with old towels and newspaper in it.

  5. If she's outside, provide a box with a towel in it that she has access to to get out of the weather. Also, try putting out a dish of food and water for her so that she knows going to your place means food.

If available to you, try getting some humane traps from your local shelter. If you don't want them to take away the cat, tell them you would be willing to take her in for the time being so that you could take care of her and her litter (keep her in 1 room if this is the case, often if you have an extra bathroom, that's the place to put her).

Good luck and don't let anyone tell you that you can't tame a feral cat or kittens, because I have done both before with great success!

  6. You don't help her.  Most animals give birth independently. In order to be able to handle her later you may want to keep feeding her.  That may make her comfortable enough with you so that after she gives birth she may let you handle her kittens.
