You need a copy of the song file, and a simple video editing program (windows movie maker should do it). Just add the song to the timeline in the editing program, and use whatever the Windows Movie Maker method of adding text is (try checking the help menu for how to do it.)

Get a video making/editing program. Windows Movie Maker is a very basic one. I use Sony Vegas 7.0. That one needs to be downloaded though and is much more complicated. I'm sure if you googled Windows Movie Maker you could find a download. I know a lot of computers already have the program on it.

STEP BY STEP:

First, You choose the song you want the video to be about, then open up Windows Movie Maker from the Programs menu on the computer. Make sure you have the song somewhere on your computer, then click "Import Audio" on the left of WMM. Choose the file/song from wherever you put your songs and click "import". Next to the side panel saying "Movie Tasks", you will see a button reading "Show Timeline"-click it. The song will appear as a square near the top of the page, so click on the song file square and drag it down into the audio section of the Timeline at the bottom. Now, here comes the harder part: Writing the Lyrics as the singer says them. Click on "Make Titles or Credits" in the MOVIE TASKS panel on the left side of the screen.Choose: ADD TITLE ON THE SELECTED CLIP. What you have to do, is write the lyrics to the section of the song they are singing. Stay in timeline view and type in the lyrics of the first few lines, then move it to the right position using the timeline as it matches the song. Good luck! Now, save the video as a WMV: Click File, Save Movie File, Click Next, Name the video, Click Next, Click Next, then it saves it for you, Click Finish. Then go over to Youtube and click the Upload button near the top of the screen (I am assuming you have an account on Youtube). Name the movie, Add Description, Add tags so people can find the video, then click Upload a Video. Then click "Browse", then a list of the files on your computer pops up, so choose the video file you just recently saved, and click upload. If you do have a youtube account, then youtube mail me saying you made a video like that rascal flatts one.

just use powerpoint and put music in it. personally i use final cut studio 2.

Windows Movie Maker after that you should just put in title clips that match the words. Easy.
